about Ines Esnal
Ines Esnal is a New York-based architect from the Madrid School of Architecture in Spain. In 2008 she was awarded a fellowship to develop a research project about “Digital Materiality” at Columbia University, where she discovered the potential of printmaking. This research led to “Matterscapes,” her first solo exhibition at the Leroy Neiman Gallery in New York. In 2007, she earned a full scholarhsip to study a Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design (AAD) at Columbia. Previously, Ines worked in collaboration with several international firms, including Jean Nouvel and TEN Arqutectos. Ines has been awarded many art and architecture prizes. She has worked in Madrid, Barcelona, Paris, and since 2005, in New York. She began an independent architectural practice in 2009 which merges the fields of art and architecture. Ines is currently completing an artwork series for an upcoming solo exhibition in Madrid.
